The personal data that I process
Please note that all personal data that I receive, no matter the format, is being stored. This covers for example, but is not limited to, email, letters, text messages, contact through websites (e.g. Proz, my website, the SFÖ website, LinkedIn), business cards, contracts, texts I translate.
How this data is being stored
The data is stored in the cloud for my email (t.ex. webmail for Yahoo, Gmail, Binero), locally on my computer and external storage medium or in physical paper format.
Use
The purpose of this storing is for future reference and service to customers. The data is being processed in order for me to perform my duties (legal basis: performance of the contract) and give you as a customer the best of service by being able to go back and see in what way and with what we have cooperate in the past (legal basis: legitimate interest). The data is not transferred to anyone else, unless there is a legal obligation to do so, and I do not send out marketing materials or newsletters.
How long the data is being stored
Since I use my email both privately and in my business, it would be extremely time consuming for me to go through and delete only business related emails after a certain point in time. Because of this, I ask you as a customer to contact me if you want me to delete your information.
Other documents are also being stored indefinitely, unless otherwise stated in a signed contract.
Change, deletion
You as a customer always have the right to know what data I hold on you, you have a right to ask me to correct this data or to delete it. You also have a right to ask me to limit my use of your personal data. Please note that for example contracts and invoices have to be stored a certain amount of time and cannot be deleted before then. For invoices the current time limit is 7 years.
